THE PARTY'S OVER
(some eggs)
Yes, this is my little hard working bantam chicken "Party Girl" (YES, this is a chicken !!!) Mardi Gras is over and it's back to work and play. Actually, we didn't stop working (and playing in the clay) except to watch the Spanish Town parade after the Baton Rouge Arts market last Saturday and we caught the New Orleans parades on TV. (Sigh! Oh, the memories of costuming and "throw me something missta" when I was a kid - and not so much a kid).
It was my first time catching the Spanish Town parade and if I hadn't of already been there I would of missed it. It was well worth staying as it was a "hoot"- especially the Granny's coreographed dancing while pushing lawnmowers as the music blared Steppenwolf's "Born to be Wild". This parade is a "must see" if you're in the area. It made my Mardi Gras !
